Boycott Del Taco!

Yes, that’s right! WTF??!! Taco Tuesday is jank now! Del went from 3 fer 99 cents to 3 fer $2.09!!! Over a 100%+ markup!!! Not right!!! Had my crunchy tacos, though, and that’ll be the last time! Might as well go to Tacos Sinoloa fer some tastier goods!!! Gonna head down to Commerce in a little bit after I make sure the doggies are good. Mama finished her book last night. I’m impressed.

Uh, I’m watching the news now and they’re talkin’ about legalizing pot now cuz Oakland just passed a tax on it. And they’re showing an old lady smoke it. Now that’s funny! Just watching this old lady smoke this joint is cracking me up. Old people are already cracked so give em pot and we’ll all be in trouble!!!

Justin and Anita will be heading here in 2 weeks and they’ll either rent a house in Beverly Hills, Irvine, or Newport Beach. I told Anita if they stay in OC we can hang out more often since I’m always in Irvine/Newport Beach. They’re gonna be here fer a year so that’ll be fun. There are many bomb ass restaurants I can introduce them to too!!! So we’ll see if food tempts them into choosing OC lol.

I watched the 5th Harry Potty last night and ready fer the new one. Uh, I really don’t know what all the hullabaloo is all about. All 5 movies thus far are just ok. No big deal. Nothing spectacular when it comes to special effects as I’ve seen much better. Storylines aren’t that great. So what is with all the Harry Potty fanfare?! It is neat to see how the actors have grown up though. Now with mama’s new bomb ass plasma, I wanna catch up on my movies and start watching/renting as many as I can now.

Okie, gonna start the day…will be workin’ at Commerce and then chillin’ in Newport Beach. It’s gonna be a good day!!!

What a Weekend!!!

Mama and I made a quick turnaround to Vega$ where we went to Lotus of Siam, Capital Seafood, and Penang for meals! Good stuff and I must note the curry puffs at Penang are to die for! You get 4 big puffs fer $5.95. Worth every penny cuz they are so yummy!!!

We watched Justin play at the WPT tv table for the Bellagio Cup where he placed 3rd and won $464k…CONGRATS JUSTIN!!! I think mama and I will be on tv now cuz every time Justin was in a hand, the cameras would pan to us. It was kool to get the feel of being at a WPT final table taping. So he and Anita will head here in a coupla weeks since Legends is just around the corner. Hope to spend more time with both of them just chillin’…they are such a sweet couple.

Kicker was such a good boy at the condo. No accidents! He slept on my bed both nights and figures the spoiled boy has to sleep right in the middle of the bed so I’m stuck trying to hang on to one side!!! Geez!! He saw all the stray cats (8 as of count!) downstairs and wanted to eat all of them! Kept barking and growling at all of them but no success. Tehsi was in Irvine fer the weekend. Her allergy is pretty bad and she’s been scratching nonstop. I just brought her home from the groomer and she’s much better now. Got her the flea relief stuff and gave her medicine to her. Had to discipline Kicker earlier cuz I brought home a bag of dog food and Tehsi was curious to sniff it and Kicker went after her!! I saw him growl and try to bite her and she ran away scared! Boy, I was so mad at him and he knows it!!! I dare him to try it again!! Now he’s behaving again. Little bully!!!

Ok, so haven’t blogged since Friday night and of course, bro and I went to Costco yday and we came home with a brand spankin’ new 50″ plasma tv fer mama!!! This flat screen is so gorgeous!! The size!! The clarity!! Now mama’s tv is better than all of ours!!! I’m enjoying it, though, as now it makes me wanna stay at home and just watch it!!! Man, this tv is huge!!! So of course now I hafta get mama a 360 and PS3 too!!! Bwahahahaha..we can also set up Rock Band here now!!! The family room is the new hangout now!!! Imagine mama and papa with their very own Xbox360 and PS3!!!! They rule!!! Oh, and don’t forget about the Wii too!!! There’s enough room to jump all over the place now. Not just that mama has a dvr now too which of course none of us know how to work lol. I still have to see the 5th Harry Potty and I guess the family now will see the new one together in IMAX this weekend when it opens.

I played ca$h at Commerce today and after being down $400 at one point, I ended the session down $116. Two key hands:

1) My AQ vs K7 all in preflop and villain flops a 7. Jank.

2) My QQ s AK all in preflop and K on flop. Jank again.

So I figure with my luck today, I’ll take the $116 loss and try again tomorrow. At least I was leading both times at showdown so again, just get my money in good and hope fer the best. I’ll head back to the casino tomorrow and hopefully have a positive cashout. Then will make my way to Newport Beach again for bff’s barbeque. So nice to head back to the beach. Can’t wait!! Today bff made  my year!! And reminded me how truly lucky and blessed we are. I won’t forget it and will never get too down by bad beats from the cards anymore.

Mama is hooked on this book I bought in Singapore and she’s been reading it all weekend. Even brought it back from Vega$ and is reading it now. A good non-fiction piece on old Singapore and one woman’s struggle through the Japanese occupation in Singapore. Wonder what we’re gonna eat fer dinner. Check it out! Boogs is the newest food critic in OC and he’s gonna be going to all the yummy places to try and write about! Keep in mind, though, that you hafta think like a 9 year old so a burger and fries may actually qualify as gourmet, depending if the toy that it comes with is cool! But Boogs will also visit some fancy schmancy restaurants too and write about those visits as well. Just one word of advice, Boogs…proofread before you post!!!

Oh, I also got a new DS this weekend!!! A gift from bro!!! With a coupla games too! Haven’t opened it yet. Now I can go buy that Mandarin teaching tool!!! Thanks bro!!! Ok, so that’s it fer Tuesday. Hmm, it’s Taco Tuesday!!! Oooooh!!! Time fer dinner!!!

Lazy Days

Got more errands to run fer mama today…picking up her prescriptions, sending a fax to Hong Kong, etc. Gonna watch the 4th harry Potty movie today and pick up the 5th at Jensen’s tonight. Gonna start some designs too fer the t-shirt line. Yup, that’s right folks! Going into the apparel biz and start designing some kool poker gear. I know what styles poker playas like since I’m with em all the time. Gonna crank out some kool stuff with the help of some pals.

I have been reading and planning a lot. This is work. Hopefully it’ll pay off soon at Legends. I think we need a new tv downstairs here cuz this big ass one stopped working this morning. Hmm, maybe I will tell bro to come to Costco with me this weekend and we’ll pick up a new one fer mama and get rid of this early 80s model. Almost the size of a small car! And get mama one of them new flat screen hi-def plasmas or something. Oooh, nice!!!

Dad is having a great time in Singapore as expected. We get random calls from him here and there and postcards too. Good fer him! It’s nice to see him enjoy himself again. Uncle Joe and Barbara will join him tomorrow. They’re in HK trying to find some bomb ass pizza. HA! I told them Hong Kong has the absolute best pizza I’ve ever tasted and now they’re on a quest to find and try some too. Their lasagna is pretty good too!

Gonna go to Lotus of Siam tomorrow fr dinner with mama. Anita and Justin have been ravin’ about it and have been there the last 3 days straight!! Nothin’ like some bomb ass Thai food!!! Must be doin’ Justin good cuz he’s at the final table of the Bellagio Cup tomorrow!!! GL Justin!!! Prayin’ he brings home the Cup along with $1.2 Million!!! Sweet!!! Will be a great motivator comin’ into Legends in 2 weeks at Bike!! WOW!!!

I’m hungry and bro is bringing dinner over fer us. Can’t eat too much though. Gotta be good. Updated my calendar on my computer and August is packed with Legends tournies. Need a big score next month. Gotta start eating at Lotus of Siam too and get some of that magic pixie dust in their food…no more bad beats fer me!!! Hehe Have a nice weekend everybody!!!

50 Million Pounds

So I decided to copy Anita Fajita Pita and watch the Harry Potty movies for the first time. I am on the 4th one now and will watch that tomorrow morning. The series is ok. Nothing special. Went to the gym this morning and ran fer 30 minutes. Was quite tired I had to take a nap before lunch. I am on my diet and so far so good. Haven’t strayed but it’s only Day 2. Made veggie burgers for dinner for mama and me. If you wanna lose some weight or just get into better shape, try the 50 Million Pounds diet. Will drop Tehsi off at Jensen’s before I head back to Vega$ fer the weekend. Will just bring Kicker to introduce him to the condo. No accidents these last few days so I think he’s good to visit the condo now. What a good boy! And he’s much better with Tehsi now. Just a growl here and there. Tehsi can’t be bothered.

Tomorrow I’m gonna grill salmon and serve with brown rice and green beans. Hmm, hmm good. Need to confirm my schedule fer the rest of the summer. Better do that tomorrow.

Summer’s Pickin’ Up

Bro took me to a bomb ass taco place yday fer lunch in Santa Ana (of course!) and it was good, cheap, and plenty. Best tacos I’ve ever had! Then made the usual rounds to Costco and Target. I’m gonna copy Anita Fajita Pita and watch all the Harry Potter movies before I see the new one that comes out tomorrow. I’ve never seen any of them except the first one. Wasn’t so interested so I’m curious to know what all the hubbabaloo is all about. Bro insists each film gets better. I’ll see for myself.

I’ve been shopping online for a web hoster and found one I like so I’ll start on the website design soon. Finally creating my own website and I will have poker related stuff as well as my other interests will also be featured. August is going to be a busy month fer me as I have 14 tourneys lined up for Legends at the Bike. This does not include the WPT main event but if I can win a mega/super satellite then I’ll be thrilled to be able to play in the main event too.

Need to head to the gym today. Back on the treadmill. Damn tummy is getting larger everyday. So jank. But food rules! Gonna head back to Vega$ just fer the weekend. Have lotsa work to do on and off the felt…

Itchin’

Took the babies to the groomer yday and both of them are not only spic n span, but Kicker is cuter than ever!!! Had him shaved and cleaned up and he looks like a puppy now. What a good boy! He is acting better toward Tehsi too. Less growling. They both can’t be bothered with each other now. Betta than fightin’ at least.

Dinner last night wasn’t bad. We ate at Chef Chen in Irvine and and then had some boba fer dessert. Nothin’ like big ass balls fer dessert! When I got home, the weather was so nice I decided to walk the dogs…separately. I think I will need to do that just to make sure they don’t fight again. Double exercise fer me is always good too.

Gonna head back to the Gypsy Den fer breakfast his morning with bro but not sure what’s goin’ on the rest of the day. Anyway, this Friday the babies have an appt for portraits. Yes, The Picture People will photograph them and I get my free 8 * 10″ portrait. Not sure how they are gonna photograph both of them together, but props to them if they figure it out. Ha! My doggies gettin’ glamour shots. Who knew???

I am itchin’ to get back to the tables again. Will prolly head to Bike or Commerce later this week to play some ca$h. I wanna play online too. I am so happy with my new laptop purchase. What a deal! My screen is big and sharp. My lil pink netbook is just fer online poker when traveling, but I’m really liking my new one. It’s just too heavy to lug around but it makes a great desktop replacement.

Ok, well it looks like Kicker is gettin’ the whole potty outside only thing and I think he’s ok now. Two days in a row let’s go fer three. Can’t bring him to the condo til I know he’s not gonna have an accident. Check out my baby!

 What a ham! He loves to pose fer pix too! So vain! Now he’s oh-so-clean too! Well, gotta start my day. I am planning the new website now and will provide details soon. It’s gonna have all kinds of kool stuff so stay tuned!

Lazy Sunday

Had a fun time at bff’s beach party. Lotsa kids were there too along with lotsa food. Today just chillin’ with the doggies til a big family dinner tonight again…11 of us. Nothing special. Will try to play some Stars today. Just relaxin’ today.

Newport Beach: Part Deux

Yday was the second installment of Newport Beach. After sitting in traffic because the darn OC Fair is back in town, I made it to the beach house. Bff and I rode bikes all the way down to the end of the boardwalk and back up. Good exercise again and so much fun to be out in the sun. We then got mani/pedis and boy, the nail ladies in this salon can sell!!! Newport Beach is way too overpriced compared to Orange. My usual $13 spa pedicure is $25 here. Jank. They do a good job, though.

So today is Part Trois of Newport Beach as bff is throwing a beach party today all day. We may go running down the boardwalk too, but if not, fer sure bike riding again. Big bbq party planned and y’all know how I love my bbq. Only thing that sucks about Newport Beach is the same with San Francisco…no parking.

The doggys are doing better. No accidents yday and less growling. Let’s see if we can make it 2 days in a row, ha! Here’s the rascal:

Trying to get Kicker to sleep in his basket but fer some reason, he thinks the couch is just fer him. Darn dog. Need to take him fer a bath. Waiting fer his sutures to heal. Maybe I’ll tell them to shave it all off and he’ll be even smaller. A lil runt. But he does have a heart of the doberman cuz he ain’t scared of nothin’! Always trying to antagonize…he really is a street dawg. So proud! My lil gangsta has come home! bwahahahaha

Looks like lil sis will be heading to the East Coast the next coupla days. I will miss her lots cuz we didn’t get to hang out when I went back to Vegas last Monday. Not sure when she’s gonna come back cuz she’s gonna spend time at home in Chicago with her family too. Thank goodness fer texting cuz she’s just a text away. I already miss her. Boo.

Ok, I almost joined a paintball group in Vega$ but held off cuz I’m here in CA again. But I think once I head back in September, I’ll inquire again cuz it sure sounds hella fun and great exercise. I’ve never played paintball before but all I know is I love shooting so it’ll probably be a lot of fun fer me. It’s like a real life video game. I love playin’ the video games where you go around killing everything trying to stay alive. Survival horror rules! I like them puzzle games too but lately I’ve only been buying the exercise games which I have yet to open. Yes, my Wii Fit is still untouched and I bought it last year when it first came out. Jank. Too much time tryin’ to make money at the tables. I’m workin’!

It looks to be another beautiful weekend in SoCal, so enjoy it! I know I will!

Newport Beach

Kicker’s first night was good until I heard him growl fiercely around 4:30 this morning. Had to be directed at Tehsi, so from upstairs I scolded him and all was quiet again. Darn dog. I noticed although he growls at her, he doesn’t actually show his teeth or attack so maybe his growl is a warning. For what, though? Cuz Tehsi just minds her own business. I think Kicker gets jealous when Tehsi comes close to me. The growls are more when they are up close face to face. Silly dog. I bet he is all growl, no bite. Best part about Kicker’s first night is no accidents!!! Yay! He did have an accdent yday afternoon in the family room, but after reprimanding him, he is good now. So this morning when I let both dogs out, they both took care of their business and I praised them so I think Kicker should know the drill now. Let them both out again and same thing. Took care of business. so proud of them. Now they just need to get along before I get mad.

So I am a pro at taking care of doggies now and am available as a dogsitter in between my ca$h game sessions. I hear dogsitters and dogwalkers get paid $80k annually. Not bad.

XTracey has made it to Day 3 of WSOP!!! Go Tracey!!! Kill em tomorrow!! Had dinner with the family last night at Sam Woo in Irvine. For lunch, bro took me to the Gypsy Den in the Artist’s Village in Santa Ana. Cute place and reminds me of Telegraph Avenue in Berkeley. I wanna go back fer breakfast. This place makes good sandwiches and salads and is a haven fer vegetarians.

(A day has passed)

Spent most of the day in Newport Beach and rode bikes along the beach! So much fun! We rode a good 5 miles I think. We rode to Rockin’ Lobster and had shrimp cocktails and guac n chips with cadillac margaritas. Then continued on our way. We had such a fun workout we’re gonna go riding again today. Then had dinner at the beach house and chatted. So much fun! Only thing is my legs are sore which means I am so outta shape. Boo. Jank.

Tonight I’m gonna cook my big ass pot of spaghetti again fer mama and bro. Yummo! I’m watching the Today show and they’re reporting on a cheerleader that stole a box containing $147 that a few 10 year olds earned while selling t-shirts and caps. She is now charged with a felony that can lead to serious prison time. I am cracking up! First off, this should tell all y’all out there how janky cheerleaders can be. If you’re gonna steal $$$, yo, make sure it’s worth it!!! Idiot. And once you steal something, at least try to make your getaway halfway decent! She was chased down with ease by one of the 10 year old’s dads. Now stupid cheerleader has released a statement with deep regret and her mother is hoping the 10 year olds will not press charges. By the way, cheerleader is Chelsea Steal, uh I mean, Steele. Seriously.

So now, this got out to the local media and the kids were given $200 fer their “scary” encounter with the gimme a T-H-I-E-F. So, kids are happy again that they’ve actually made more money than what the janky cheerleader stole. Outcome??? My advice:

Kids should still press charges on the cheerleader’s dumb ass and have her publicly ridiculed for her stupidity. Then have her caned in public too!! Break off skin on her dumb ass so she can’t be jumpin’ with pom poms fer a long while. She can heal her dumb ass in jail fer a good year or two and practice her cheers in front of her fellow inmates! I guarantee you her stupid ass won’t be stealin’ nothin’ again…or at least if she does, she’ll be smart enuf to steal a lot more than $147!!! LOL…She probably would’ve made more $$$ if she stole from a lil ole lady and prolly would’ve gotten away with it too since lil old lady wouldn’t have given chase.

The moral of this story: Be prepared. Before you execute, make sure you have planned properly. So fer all you petty thieves out there, take my advice and you’ll prolly have better results.

Just don’t even think about robbin’ me tho cuz I am armed and dangerous and will react in self-defense. Never try to rob a poker player cuz since we carry lotsa ca$h on us, most of us have been trained on how to use firearms and have licenses to carry weapons for protection. Many of us also enjoy going to shooting ranges just for fun to practice our skillz. This leads to a true story involving a friend of mine years ago. He was robbed at knifepoint and the robber was satisfied getting away with $40. My pal was quite pleased he only lost $40 considering he was carrying more than $50k on him…but only $40 was in his wallet at the time and the $50k wad was in his other pocket. My friend says he was so “lucky”. Geez!

WTF?! Now the Today show is reporting on a 650 pound guy that lost 401 pounds in 28 months!!! OMG!!! This guy is HOT now!!! Holy hell!! I am so inspired now!!! WOW!!! Good fer him!! See people!!! We can all do this with determination, hard work, and a good attitude!!! So they filmed his entire weight loss and his show premieres this Sunday on TLC. It’s called the “650 Pound Virgin”. OMG, I gotta watch!!! And he didn’t have gastric bypass either! It was all through exercise and food choices. Now he needs to have operations to remove excess skin from all the weight loss. Eeeewww!!! But this guy is quite handsome now!!! Good fer him!!!

Gotta go to the hair salon and then back to Newport Beach. I should have no problem losing 15 pounds now!!! Yay!!! Just like in poker, I just gotta be disciplined.

New Addition to the Family

Woke up at 5 and first thing I did was call mama to wake her up. Yes, she is still jet lagging after 14 days. Old people. Came back to OC to pick up Kicker and now after introducing him to his new home and Tehsi; he’s had a busy day making the rounds sniffing all around and making new friends, he is sleeping contently. He has definitely made himself at home.

I was a bit worried as Kicker was growling at Tehsi fer most of the day. Damn alpha male. Ah, but call me the dog whisperer as I calmed him down, sorta. The growling has calmed down and they seem more friendly with each other, but now Kicker wants to be too friendly! Keeps following her trying to mount her now. Hilarious cuz he is way too small and short so he’s having a great time bangin’ air! LOL…I think these 2 will soon become pals. Kicker’s sutures still need to heal so I’ll take both of them to the groomer in a few days. Once he and Tehsi are comfy with each other, I will prob head back to Vega$ to play ca$h.
