Bittersweet

I am disappointed. Was really looking forward to this Caesars Championship. Great structure. Lotsa chips. But to make the right call with all my money with JJ vs 99 and to get turned by a 9 is just plain jank. I raised preflop. And in position, I bet $10k. Villain shoves his remaining $22k. I hesistate, replayed the hand from the beginning and figured I must still be good and that he had to have top pair or a flush draw. Flop was 2, 5, 9. Finally called and happy to see his A, 9. Yup, good call. Now just hold. Immediate 9 on the turn. Now I’m on life support with $4k left. Hung on for another round and even doubled up until my demise. Jank.

So, prolly no tourneys til Legends in August. I’m heading back to OC tomorrow morn and gonna pick up Kicker! At least I have somethng to look forward to. I’m happy I played it right, just disappointed with the bad luck. Anyhow, gonna hang with Kicker and the family tomorrow and bff on Thursday.

This morning was just so sad watching MJ’s memorial. God bless his family and children. Geez! What a heartbreaker. Guess being turned by a 9 is nothin’…RIP King of Pop.
