New Website is Up

I am so excited as this weekend has begun the formation of Xsporean.com. Feel free to log into www.blog.xsporean.com as I will refer all to this new URL. Blogs will be short this week as I am working on some art designs for XGear. I hope to have the online store operational by the new year. Although it’s more than 4 months away, time flies nowadays. I’ll also have rare poker collectibles fer all the fans out there. Look fer more exciting things to come like the following sections: XSports, Xcess, and XRated. These are just examples of what’s in store on the new site. Have a good weekend!

Xsporean.com is Born!

Happy Friday y’all! Week is almost over….good. Played with Marilou yday at HG and won $387 in 2 hours. Back to playing catch up. Taking the doggies fer baths today cuz they’re starting to smell…eeewww! “So melly, melly!” Brought back dinner again from HG. Had this yummy fried fish with rice and lil side dishes…Korean stuff! Good sh*t!! Mama and bro liked it too.

Gonna run errands today and chill. Need to read more of Harrington’s Cash Games, Volume 1. Looking to play either tonight or tomorrow morn. Here’s a shocker: I told lil sis I miss playing online. I really do. Glutton fer punishment, I guess.

I received my registration materials from Fullerton College. I am thinking of enrolling in a Mandarin class. Chinese 101. Monday & Wed. mornings fer 2 hours. Also, a possible piano class. I have a list of stuff now…not a bucket list, but a 3 year and 5 year goals list. Everyone should have these lists and if you don’t, now’s the time to start. Never too late, peeps!

So now on to the important stuff!!! I finally have a web developer to create www.xsporean.com. You can log on now and see the coming soon page. My blog and tweets will be transferred over as well as new additions to that are in the works! Pls be on the lookout for lotsa exciting new stuff!!! Everything on the site will somehow be related to yours truly and the Xsporean brand. And I’ll also include stuff that I absolutely support, enjoy, and simply just like. Will be spending lotsa time creating the brand now and everything that goes along with it so stay tuned!

A New Day…

Yday was a horrible day. Lost $740 in 2 hours, couldn’t return my new video games to Costco, and to top off the evening, the chair I sit on everyday broke on me and my dumb ass crashed to the floor. Quite funny, actually. This only means I am fat. Even the dogs looked at me saying, “Mommy, how could you let the chair break?! You are eating too much fatso! Share your food with us!”

So of course a new day and it’s already better as this morning when I woke up, my neck pain went away. Must have slept on it wrong 2 nights ago and that killed my entire day. Figures.

Went to the “new” Orange Public Library and it might be new and nicer and bigger than the old library, but its collection still sucks!!! No use to build a big ass library if yur contents still suck!!  Duh! Another example of quality over quantity. So I was quite disappointed. They even opened a Friends of the Library store and that sucks too but I was able to salvage a bible. Yes, a bible. I bought a bible for $1.00. The Catholic version, of course. Right outside the main entrance of the library are more books fer sale fer 10 cents each and you donate your dimes in a lil collection box outside. Total honor system. Understandably so cuz all these books suck too!!! No one wants these books fer free!!! So 10 cents is quite expensive. Another disappointment. To add insult to injury, I went to get a new library card and they wanted to see proof that I am an Orange resident. My D.L. was not good enough. So I have to bring in a recent statement that has my Orange address. I was fine with it, but after looking around, there’s nothing here that I would want to check out anyway!!! So, no need fer a new library card since the library sucks!! The Newport Beach Library (which I am a member of and they never asked fer a Newport Beach address!!) is 300 times better than this damn new Orange library!!! The nerve!!! Better tell Chey and Boogs they are so lucky to have their library. WTF??!! I never even go there!!! Ok, now I’m annoyed with all this library talk. LOL

The only good thing about yday is I discovered a new Costco in Fullerton. It’s not new but we never knew it was there before so bro will be quite pleased. We don’t like the one in Garbage Grove cuz nothin’ but Asian gangstas around. In Fullerton, it’s all wannabe dumb white ass gangstas. Better. So I went in and the old lady was giving out new sweet and sour Twizzler samples. They are so good that I just had to buy a box!!! Best candy I’ve ever tasted and “still a lowfat candy!” Go grab a box! Was hungry too so gotz me a combo slice too…hmm, good stuff!

Oh, and last night I finally opened my new Nintendo DS. I finally have one, thanks to bro. Haven’t turned it on though. Had to charge it all night. Bro gave me 2 games: Nintendogs and Puyopop Fever. My kind of games. I will try them today. Who would’ve thought I would be the last fool to get one of these? Who would’ve thought my sister would have one before me??!! Now that’s cracked!! I still have a few original Nintendo Game & Watches from the early 80s. These rule!!

Vega$ Turnaround

Haven’t blogged since last Friday….went home fer the weekend. Well, on Friday at HG I made $400 and brought home my leftovers in Tupperware so mission accomplished! I ordered the bulgogi again and mama and I had dinner Friday night. She liked it too. So then I went to Target and bought a bigger Tupperware dish so now I can bring home even more food!!!

Left fer Vega$ Saturday morning and played at Ballys fer 3 days straight and lost 3 days straight…total of $900 ($300 each day). Not good at all. So tomorrow I will be playing catch up again. We met up with Eric and Aileen and it was so great to see them…after 9 years!!! Met Elena fer the first time and she’s 9 now…the last time I saw the kid she was still a newborn!!! Aileen looks YOUNGER than before!!! She’s 42 going on 18!!! Seriously!! She looks great!!! So we all spent the weekend together and we took them to Cathay House and Shilla. Good food, good people. Life is good.

Now I’m back in Orange and although it’s a lot cooler here, today is particularly hot. Ooh, breaking news of the release of Ling and Lee. North Korea turning to the light??? Hmm….or is it just a humanitarian distraction before they launch a missile attack??? Hmm…anyhow, good news I guess.

The doggies are well and had a great time at the condo chasing after each other. They love to play now. And Kicker loves those stray cats! While he wants so bad to chase them, Tehsi can’t be bothered with them now. She used to want to chase them too, now she won’t even look at them.

Went back to Market Broiler fer dinner with mama and bro and had me some grilled yellowtail. Good stuff!

Anyway, just gonna rest up fer tomorrow. Although I want to play the tourney tomorrow, I feel I need to keep playing ca$h and focus on building bankroll since I had a losing weekend. So yeah, back to HG! Hope it cools down here. I start my 20 minute treadmill routine tomorrow…Aileen said 20 minutes everyday and I can eat whatever I want!!! Worth a try!!!

Legends Event #2

Played my first tourney of the Series and I was rolling along and although it was slow for the first 5 levels, I was able to stay within chip average after losing 1/4 of my stack to the nut flush. King was on the board and I held the Queen and with position, nut flusher didnt bet so I could only assume he didn’t have it. So I’m thankful he only called my $2k bet instead of raising me. So, I actually got down to $5k in chips (we started with $11k) and fought my way back to average and then of course had my academy award winning performance. I held AA under the gun and knowing my table was super agressive, I simply called the $800 big blind. 2 folds later, Asian gangsta leader (a bit older dude) raises to $3k. Fold around back to small blind who smoothe calls. Big blind folds and I take a good minute to think. Table sees me as tight of course, so I have to Hollywood my way for a while because the amount of time I took to make a decision made both my opponents think I either have middle pair or 2 overs…ah, my sneaky be-atch ways on overdrive. I even looked at the tournament clock and acted whether or not I should “risk” any more chips lol…finally, after a good minute and a half (this is actually a while at the poker table….sorta like when an 8 second earthquake feels like 2 minutes), I say, “Alright, let’s do it” and I shove. Asian gangsta leader snap calls. HA! Meryl Streep, look out! Third player folds. I immediately flip over my AA and everyone is surprised and they all laugh and commend me fer my awesome Hollywood play. My opponent even smiled and said
“good acting.” he flips over pocket 10s and the third player that folded laughs and says, “I had pocket 10s too!” SWEET!!! Of course Asian gangsta leader didn’t wanna hear that. So only way I could lose was by a straight or flush. Luckily, AA held and I was sitting at $30k. I told Asian gangsta leader I could only “call” under the gun to maximize value of the pot. I knew if I raised under the gun, fools would fold around…geez! I’m such a nit and they all know it so I have to be a sneaky Asian. And it worked perfectly as planned.

Then at level 8, I finally met my demise. How? By a bad beat of course. Do I ever lose by any other play? No. So here I was looking at AQ clubs under the gun and I raise to $2500. Fold all around of course til small blind raises to $5k. Big blind calls. I have $14.5k left so I shove. Small blind folds and after some hesitation, big blind makes a friendly call to “double me up”. This guy’s name is Andy but he goes by “Shooter” cuz that’s the nickname Scotty Nguyen gave him a while back. He’s great friends with Jose Canseco (yes, that Jose Canseco) and we were chatting fer the last coupla hours when he sat down next to me. Anyway, he calls and flips over KQ hearts. SWEET!!! I have him totally dominated and I’m smiling at looking to double up. Flop comes A, J, 6. I flop top pair and Shooter is counting his stack to push over to mine. Turn is a 3, and of course the River is a 10. Andy hits Broadway and my tourney life is done. Shooter apologizes fer the bad beat. The whole table felt bad fer me. And me? I just smiled and shook Andy’s hand and told him “nice hand, good luck”. I wished the table good luck and everyone did the same. Walked out of the Bike’s new and huge and very impressive tournament room and headed home. I finished around 50 something out of almost 200 players.

I’m proud that I don’t get angry or frustrated with bad beats anymore. I have learned to focus on the stuff I can control only. I texted Anna my bad beat and she immediately called to make sure I wasn’t too down. Wasn’t down at all. I was more amazed. My 90% no good against 10%. She told me I did good cuz I got my money in good. All I could do was hope fer the best. Again, always leading at showdown. Just need my cards to hold and I will win any tourney, any time. Sis suggested flying out to Foxwoods for their Mega Stack championship. It’s a $2k buyin with a $1 Million guarantee!!! WOW!! So I looked it up last night and yeah, a $1M Guarantee and a $40k starting stack. 40 minute rounds. I always do well in deep stack tourneys. So we’ll see…

This morning the neighbor came over and asked if we could keep Kicker quiet. Doggy does tend to bark a lot after the darn cats and possums. I apologized to the neighbor. He said he works til 1am so since Mama lets the doggies out at 6:30am, I can understand his frustration. So I spoke to Kicker earlier and lo and behold, he understood me! He knows I don’t want him to bark so now he growls more. When I tell him to Ssshhh(ush), he does!!! So smart!! Such a good boy! Maybe cuz I told him the neighbor likes to bbq and who knows…gulp. LOL I think keeping Kicker quiet til noon is fair. Then he can bark as usual after. Neighbor has to get up at some point, right? Never had to worry about Tehsi since she doesn’t bark. Kicker has told me numerous times Tehsi is a cat wearing dog’s clothes but I’m not ready to believe him yet. Tehsi looks like a dog, smells like a dog, eats like a dog. Just acts like a cat. Kicker said he tries to get Tehsi to act more like a dog but he also gets frustrated. Oh well. Anyway, took both rascals for baths and just put that Frontline stuff on them so NO FLEAS!!! YAY!!!

Anita and Justin are in LA now and living at the Commerce til they find a house. They’re either goin’ fer a beach house or The Hills. I’m sure either option will be really nice. Once they’re settled, Anita and I are hittin’ all the restaurants!!! Yeah!!

Anyway, gonna get ready to head back to HG to play some ca$h to recoup my buyin from last night. Gonna eat there and bring my Tupperware lol. We’ll see if I get away with it!!! hehe Have a good day all!

Free Food Fer Me!!!

Mama and I enjoyed National Lasagna Day yday at Buca di Beppo. We ordered fettucine alfredo and got a big ass slice of lasagna fer free. We had enough food for four as we both had leftovers fer lunch today. We know how to economize. Every penny counts, especially these days. So, I’ve now made it a game to see just how much we can save. Due to hard times, many restaurants are offering 2 fer 1 deals. Sweet! So we’re gonna take advantage of this and try as many restaurants possible with their 2 fer 1 coupons! We rule!

And I found out yday that Hawaiian Gardens has the best food out of all the LA casinos. Yup! I had some tasty bulgogi fer lunch yday. Enough fer 2 people too! Came with rice, soup, and a coupla sides too! The meat came on a sizzling platter and there was just so much!! The best part of it is all the food is FREE!!! Because I play in a supposed high limit game ($3/$5 NLH??) all my food is comped. I can order the entire menu and it’ll all be FREE! SWEETNESS!!! However, mama raised me to not waste food and I just hate doing so. The leftover bulgogi and rice would’ve been enough fer dinner too! Or dinner fer both of the doggies! I always feel guilty when food goes to waste. And because the casinos don’t let you take home leftovers, I’m gonna start bringing Tupperware to see if I can pack up my own leftovers. Yup! And if casino mgmt makes a stink about it, I’m gonna scream at them. It’s completely stupid to let so much food go to waste when I’m willing to pack up my own leftovers in my own take out dish. I think I’ll be okay. So now, I’m so happy that I’m gonna be saving so much money on food, simply by playing at HG during lunchtime. So, I’ve decided my poker hours will be from 10:30-1:30 and I’ll always have lunch there. I am trying to only play 3 hours a day max and immediately leave once I meet my $300-$500 daily quota, dependent on how my table is going. So still aiming fer the monthly $6k – $10k score. Good enough fer me.

Also, with my new workout regimen to begin on Monday, I almost have a personal chef for free. The casino’s menu offers all kinds of food: Chinese, Vietnamese, Thai, Korean, Japanese, American, burgers & fries, seafood, salads, sandwiches, etc. My table neighbor yday ordered poached salmon and steamed broccoli fer lunch yday. That’s what I need and will start eating everyday now fer my diet. Low cal and healthy! I really need to cut the carbs. They are killing me. When I gave up carbs fer 14 days, I lost weight so easily. But it was torture. I love bread!!! Rice is the staple of my people!!! I am screwed. Anyway, I will try and try again.

Poker yday was off to a slow start…again. I was all in with KK vs QQ and looking forward to winning a $800 pot, only to see a damn Queen on the river. Yup, 5%  beats 95%. Yup, again. Funny thing is…I don’t get as annoyed with it now. I can’t. Part of the game. Not my fault if Lady Luck enjoys raping me over and over again. Used to it now. I am good with just controlling my part of the game and playing the best I can and leaving the rest to the powers that be. As long as I am losing by bad luck, I can never be mad. And I believe this has allowed me to fight back and end up winning my last 4 sessions. Even though I am not winning a lot, at least I know I am able to forge comebacks from being in deep holes simply by my play: patience, discipline, and grinding pots here and there. Poker is all about decisions and discipline and I have greatly improved in both aspects. No problem folding nut flushes on the turn now with a pair on the board. No prob folding pocket Kings on a dry rainbow board of J, 6, 2. And it’s paid off cuz my folds were correct! Ended up saving my chipstack each time.

So, it’s time to do it again. Gonna leave for Bike within the hour to play in Event #2. Didn’t play yday so today is my first Legends tourney. Good luck Me! As long as no bad beats, I will win the whole shebang. We’ll see if Lady Luck wants to give Shady a chance this time…

Movie Time!

Nothing eventful today. Played for an hour and a half at HG and won $420 so overall back in the positive. Watching movies again. Rented Knowing, Milk, Doubt, and Fast & Furious today. Got til Friday to watch. Mom and I baked a pizza and watched the $40k NLH Championship hoping to watch Ted, but they started play with the top 7 only and Ted busted out 9th. Lame.

Gonna play the $100k G tomorrow…Legends begins…watching Knowing now. Good night all.

Woke up this morn and I was craving hotcakes!!! Got some at Mickey D’s! Beggars can’t be choosers. Then took mama to the grocery stores and we stocked up for the coming week. Mama made her famous chicken rice and the doggies loved it too. Both are sleeping now after a yummy meal.

While momma was cookin’ I went back to Hawaiian Gardens and played for one hour. I didn’t realize HG has such huge action!!! So sick! Anyway, within a span of an hour, I found myself down $880 til I forged a comeback and ended up making $200. Cashed out and headed home. My $1100 variance came in a matter of minutes. Crazy. I should’ve known betta as I’m playing with all these Asian gangstas and theses fools love to gamble! Both all in hands were bad beats on the river, of course!!! I was almost gonna walk away with the $600 loss but then I realized I was only playing for a half hour. LOL And lo and behold, I make $1100 in the next half hour.

Got home and bro came over and we all sat and had lunch. Gonna do part 2 of errands now with a trip to Costco. We need more spaghetti.

Rented and watched Notorious last night. Funny. Also rented The Reader and Righteous Kill and will watch those tonight and tomorrow. There are so many movies I wanna see when I was at the video store last night. Here’s a stupid thing that happened to me earlier: went to get water filled in our 5 gallon jug and I was 50 feet away from the house and turned right and the damn bottle fell over and the cap fell off and I was sh*ttin’ myself as I could hear the water coming out of the jug. Once I got back and opened the truck, 4 gallons had emptied LOL. Saved one gallon. Great. Good news is I figured out the back of the Pilot is waterproof, thank God! LOL Then Kicker scared me because while I was cleaning the car, he just appeared. At least I know my boy doesn’t run away. He just sat there on the driveway waiting fer me. So good!

Anyway, time fer Costco!! Have a good Sunday everybody!

Sleepy Saturday

Met Margie at Pasta Connection yday morn and she bought me breakfast. Good ole corned beef hash extra crispy. Lotsa food so it was brunch. Then made my way to Hawaiian Gardens and played $3/$5 NLH for 1 hr and 20 minutes and made $528. Ca$hed out and called it a day. Then headed over to bff’s beach house to carpool over to Laguna Beach. There were 8 of us and we had a private room at Sorrento Grille. Had some seabass. Wanted the short ribs but thought I’d try to be good and opted fer fish. After dinner, we walked over to Pageant of the Masters. It was good, but not great. I sorta dozed off in the second half.  Got to bed at 12:30am.

Had trouble waking up this morning cuz I needed more sleep. Mama cooked up a good breakfast fer me and I had to go back to Petco to view Kicker’s pix. Of course I ended up buying so many pictures cuz I couldn’t resist my lil baby. He is such a poser too! What a handsome boy! Took mama to a pho lunch and grocery shopping. We’ll head off to church later as I must give thanks to the Lord fer granting my wish. Just ask, believe, have faith, and He will come through fer you, as He did me. The key is to have faith though.

I may actually go play tonight. I need to keep my ca$h game up. It’s so easy to get lazy and wanna take a day off here and there, but that’s bad. Money needs to be made…consistently too. I am sleepy though. What a lazy Saturday. Just been eating and mulling around. Terrible. Gotta wake up!!! Now!!!

Babysittin’ Boogs!

Not sure if yday was a good or bad day at the tables but I will say good since I ended up in the positive. To keep it simple, I got down $600, won it back, and ca$hed out $606. I made $6 for workin’ fer 3 1/2 hours. Great. I am going to try Hawaiian Gardens tomorrow. Never played ca$h there so curious how I’ll fare compared to Commerce.

No poker today as I’ll be babysitting Boogs. We’re gonna go to GameStop and look at video games. That’s what he wants to do so I might as well look at the DS games too. Actually, I have every video game console now so I guess I’ll look at everything. Then we’ll prolly grab some pho fer lunch and then maybe watch a movie. I gotta cook dinner tonight so maybe I can enlist Mr. Boogs to help…let him be my sous chef…ha!

Had a bbq at bff’s beach house last night. Was fun meeting her longtime friends and I even learned how to play Shanghai…a card game that I guess is sorta like gin rummy. Spoke to Ted too and we are closer to Beyonce tickets. Keepin’ my fingers crossed. Her concert is next Thursday so we’ll see if it happens or not. So kool of Ted to really try to get tix fer me and bff. Looks like only $1k tickets are left so these are gonna be awesome orchestra seats. “All the single ladies…all the single ladies…oh oh oh, oh oh oh oh, oh oh, oh oh oh.”…

Tomorrow is Pageant of the Masters. That’ll be fun!! Group of us having dinner first. Food rules. Hopin’ Anita and Justin come to LA soon so we can start eating more!!! bwahahahahahaha
